- Ho Chi Minh City: Former Saigon, the biggest city in Vietnam.
- Cu Chi Tunnels: Located in the Cu Chi District of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam, and are part of a much larger network of tunnels that go under much of the region. During the Vietnam War, many military campaigns took place in the Cu Chi tunnels. In 1968, the Viet Cong used the tunnels as their base of operations for the Tet Offensive.
- Phu Quoc: Vietnam’s biggest island. Its main businesses are fishing, farming, and tourism, which is growing quickly. Thanks to tourism development, Phu Quoc’s economy has grown quickly. Several five-star hotels and resorts have been built, among other infrastructure projects.
- Mekong Delta: Largest agricultural area in Vietnam, the rice basket of the country with floating markets, fruit orchards, rice paddies, bird sanctuaries, and charming villages.
Itinerary
Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, our driver will pick you up at the airport and drive to Ho Chi Minh city center, check-in at a hotel and have free time for leisure. Enjoy a dinner for two.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
After that, you depart to visit the Independence Palace, also known as the Reunification Palace. Then, continue to visit other French colonial buildings, such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, and the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum.
After lunch, we drive 60 km from Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi Tunnels – a large tunnel system built and used by Viet Cong during the Vietnam wars.
Around 18:00, we’ll be back at the hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Free dinner and overnight here.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to the Mekong Delta, driving along the provincial roads in the Southern region of Vietnam through paddy rice fields, pineapple plantations, orchards, and small hamlets (2 hours drive).
After arriving in My Tho, you will ride on a local motor boat along Dragon Island, Phoenix Island, and Turtle Island. Stop at the famous Unicorn Island to take a short trek and go for a rowing boat trip. You will also enjoy tropical fruits in a local orchard, taste natural pure honey at a bee farm, and listen to traditional music.
From there, you will continue your motor boat trip to Ben Tre province to visit a coconut candy manufacturing factory. Then, you will travel along the lush, green canals on a small boat and stop at Mien Tay restaurant to enjoy Vietnamese lunch and bicycle riding around the village.
03:00 PM transfer to Can Tho city by private car.
Free meal and spend the night in Can Tho.
After breakfast, take the morning boat trip to visit the Phong Dien floating market which is at its busiest at this time of day. Continue to cruise through the small canal system to visit a rice noodle-making village. Experience the “Monkey Bridge” in the Mekong Delta, walk through the fruit garden, and see the process of noodle making. Visit a second floating market – Cai Rang floating market.
Break for lunch.
The bus will drive you to Rach Gia.
Arrive in Rach Gia, you are free to enjoy the peaceful landscapes in this region.
Free meal and spend the night in Rach Gia.
Departure after breakfast, embark on a high-speed boat to travel from Rach Gia ferry to Phu Quoc island.
Arrived at Phu Quoc ferry, transferred by van to the hotel, and checked in. Have lunch at a local restaurant.
After that, start to discover Phu Quoc island. Visit the pepper garden, be captivated by the words of “itsy-bitsy teeny weeny peppercorns” of patient growers, Ham Ninh fishing village, enjoy fresh seafood (personal charge), Tranh Stream, Hung Long/Phap Quang Pagoda located on a high hill, overlooking to town, etc.
Then, back to Duong Dong town, stop at a Sim wine distillery to taste the local wine and pay a visit to Dinh Cau Temple, the savior of local fishermen.
Have dinner at a local restaurant.
Back to the hotel. Spend overnight in Phu Quoc.
Leisure time on the beach & stay in a Phu Quoc hotel for the night.
Breakfast at your hotel and enjoy free time till our driver transfers you to the airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be driven to your hotel for check-in. You can spend the rest of the day relaxing or shopping.
